The journey trough the Greek Islands; Skyros, Andros, Mykonos & Paros
Justyna Borucka is a Polish visual mixed-media artist working between painting, digital photography and object making.
Shortly after her graduation from Chelsea College Of Art and Design, University of the Arts London (2009) Borucka moved her studio to a Greek Islands of Skyros, Sporades to pursue her interest in possibilities of painting and natural phenomena.
Later on she moved her studio to the Cyclades including Andros and Mykonos to finally settle down with her young family on Paros in 2018.
From animal bones, through the different textures and hues of the blue of the Aegean Sea to marble dust, Borucka’s intuitive insights combined with a methodological approach resulted in a series of abstract, mixed-media works.“Metamorphosis Bones and Colours”, “The Blue, Iridescences “, “Paros New Earth ” and the “Atomic Series” are all informed by and dedicated to the Greek landscape, τόπος.
