The Blue Series was inspired by my stay on the beautiful and unusually lush for Cyclades, Andros Island.

I spent there two years as an artist in residency of Andros Chora Municipality. My studio was situated on a back street in the heart of Chora close to the Goulandris Museum of Modern Art, overlooking the bay of Paraportiani.

A lively neighbourhood frequented by the local community – including Greek grandmothers curiously chatting to me about various hues of the sea while my paintings were drying outside my studio.

Paintings from this series were exhibited at the Kantakouzenos Foundation and in a personal exhibition “In Blue” in Athens.

Two paintings from this series were also auctioned by AGRA ART Auction House Warsaw and the Ronald McDonald Foundation to raise funds for housing the families of long-term hospitalised children who are patients at the Children’s Clinical Hospital, UCK WUM in Warsaw.
